VtrunkD can do a lot, but we urge you to make sure certain requirements are met:
- Have the non-shared medium on interfaces being bonded. Each modem should be using a different carrier, e.g. Orange and Vodafone. However, different carriers still may be sharing the same infrastructure (shared base station or same backbone link)
- Raspberry PI 3 max total performance on 2 modems is about 50Mbit/s, on 3 modems is about 30Mbit/s, overclocking and disabling power saving are highly recommended.
- Modems must also have power saving disabled. This can be done by connecting modems to the externally powered USB hub.
- The best bonding results will be achieved when using TCP protocol with large window sizes on both ends, e.g. FTP.
